Bamboo Bed Production for Health Facilities Promotes Job Creation
14.01.2021 - The Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation supports the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry during the Corona pandemic in facilitating the manufacturing of 20.000 camp beds made from locally produced bamboo and quality cotton from Senegal. The first cotton delivery arrived in Ethiopia on Januar 12th 2021. The beds will be distributed to rural health stations to help address the expected surge of patients in these locations. Read more.

13.11.2020 - Three finalists of the “Project Pitch” competition of the third edition of the leadership and mentoring program for young women entrepreneurs, African Women of the Future Fellowship (AWF), received the official hand over of material goods on November 13, 2020 at the premises of the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation in Abidjan. 11.11.2020 - A study conducted by Siemens Stiftung and commissioned by the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation predicts that social enterprises can provide up to one million new jobs in twelve African countries between 2020 and 2030. Read more.
