Invest for Jobs at GITEX Africa Morocco 2026

Showcasing support for digital transformation, business partnerships and job creation in Morocco

Invest for Jobs participated in GITEX Africa Morocco 2026 at the “Team Germany Pavilion” with KfW Development Bank and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, showcasing support for digital investment, job creation and skills development, and engaging with Moroccan and international companies.

Invest for Jobs successfully concluded its participation in GITEX Africa Morocco 2026, held from 7 to 9 April 2026 in Marrakech. The programme was a highlight of the Team Germany Pavilion, a collaborative platform showcasing German development cooperation. This unified presence brought together two implementing organisations of Invest for Jobs – the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the KfW Development Bank (featuring its Facility Investing for Employment, IFE) – alongside the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco (AHK Morocco), creating a powerful hub for German-Moroccan economic synergy.

During the event, the team presented a comprehensive range of support programmes aimed at promoting investment, job creation, and skills development, with a strategic focus on the digital economy. The panel discussion “From Germany to Morocco: Success Stories – Challenges, Lessons & Growth” brought together German companies to share first-hand insights into the Moroccan market, highlighting opportunities and growth potential.

A dedicated session on BPO and nearshoring explored Morocco’s growing position as a competitive destination for outsourced digital services, emphasising the importance of specialised training to support sector growth. The event also featured detailed presentations on support instruments, including the Digit4Growth Call for Expressions of Interest, a flagship scheme providing strategic and technical support to companies implementing digital transformation projects with job creation potential.

Throughout the three-day event, the Invest for Jobs team held high-level meetings with Moroccan and international companies, as well as institutional partners, focusing on fostering new business partnerships and digital development projects contributing directly to sustainable employment.

By participating in GITEX Africa Morocco, Invest for Jobs reaffirmed its role as a key catalyst for Morocco’s digital ecosystem, paving the way for further investment and long-term economic cooperation. Building on this momentum, the event served as the perfect stage to promote the launch of a new Call for Proposals by the Facility Investing for Employment (IFE), furthering the commitment to supporting Morocco's investment landscape.
