Focus: A wide range of services – from expert advice, technical studies, contacts and matchmaking to implementation support.
At the Business & Invest Lab we develop projects in Germany and
in the partner countries together with German, European and African
companies in order to remove concrete obstacles to investment through
training and job partnerships - and thus, contribute to the creation of
training and employment in the partner countries. We offer you
tailor-made solutions from the various instruments of the Special
Initiative on Training and Job Creation.
From the idea to the development up to the concrete implementation of the project, we will support you in the realisation of your employment-effective business project, for example in the form of:
- Advice on expert topics and general conditions
- Technical studies
- Contacts and matchmaking
- Complementary financing, for example for inter-company training or to strengthen local suppliers
We also help with the design of training measures, the establishment of sustainable value and supply chains, efficient logistics processes and matters relating to customs clearance.
Development partnerships through develoPPP for jobs
Focus: Development partnerships between businesses and the public sector with the aim of promoting employment
develoPPP for jobs is aimed at promoting employment. It was designed specifically for and is financed by the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation. Its rollout began in January 2019. develoPPP for jobs is part of develoPPP.de, a programme funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) that promotes development partnerships with the private sector. The programme has been successfully implemented for many years and thus has a wealth of experience in the cooperation with companies.
Companies are expected to make an adequate contribution of their own. The programme offers European and African companies from almost all sectors the opportunity to work together on a wide range of subjects and is thus highly flexible.
Funding per project: 100,000 euro to 2 million euro public contribution
Alliance for Product Quality in Africa
Focus: Consulting with a key emphasis on quality infrastructure
In the Alliance for Product Quality in Africa, institutions with expertise in quality infrastructure work together with companies active in Africa to improve the quality of locally produced products, so that they can be exported internationally. We follow a co-creation approach: Together we identify concrete challenges and develop tailor-made solutions.
The aim is to establish a network for product quality and to strengthen the capacity of companies to comply with qualitative and legal requirements in order to facilitate access to international sales markets.
