Make it Work Project launches in Morocco

Opportunity for entrepreneurs: Invest for Jobs supports businesses in Morocco to grow internationally

The Make It Work project in Morocco is now open for applications from medium-sized businesses in Morocco. Over the duration of one year, they will take part in entrepreneurship training, tailored mentorship, and global market access activities.

Digital startups and MSMEs make up over 90% of all enterprises in Morocco and are central to Morocco’s New Development Model (2021), positioning entrepreneurship as a key lever for inclusive and resilient economic growth. However, they still face constraints such as lack of capital, limited international exposure, and fragmented ecosystem support.

The “Make It Work” project, implemented by the non-profit organisation enpact with support from Invest for Jobs, assists medium-sized companies in Morocco in building sustainable businesses, creating jobs, and scaling globally. It focuses on a dual approach of sustainable local job creation and international market access, particularly to Germany.

The first part of the project equips entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to grow and scale. This comprises an intensive “bootcamp” and a two-month hybrid learning track that focuses on internationalisation and building sustainable business models. Entrepreneurs will also be matched with a dedicated international business mentor based on their specific needs and challenges.

The second part tackles market exploration. It includes an ecosystem deep-dive roadshow in Berlin in 2026, followed by sector-specific market access trips for participants based on their sector.

Interested entrepreneurs can learn more and apply here by 20th December 2025.

The call is open to businesses across all sectors, with a specific focus on impact-driven businesses operating in areas such as ClimateTech, GreenTech, and DeepTech, to create jobs in sectors where ecology and economy intersect.

Women-led businesses, persons with disabilities, and businesses based outside the capital cities are encouraged to apply.

By joining the Make it Work project, entrepreneurs can:

  • Take part in an in-depth assessment of their business model to identify areas of improvement
  • Join a two-day bootcamp in Morocco with entrepreneurs and international startup mentors
  • Match with an international mentor to receive dedicated support for 6 months
  • Access a 2-month hybrid learning track on EU market entry strategies, international sales, HR scaling, regulatory requirements, and building more sustainable, climate-conscious business practices
  • Join an all-expenses-paid market discovery trip to Berlin in April 2026, facilitating their entry into the German and broader EU markets.

The core of the “Make it Work” project is active collaboration and exchange between the entrepreneurship ecosystems of Morocco and Germany. The role of international mentors is crucial in the project, aiming to provide expertise and valuable connections.

Seasoned entrepreneurs and business coaches based in Germany or the EU market can sign up to become mentors here.

This project is supported by Invest for Jobs - the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented, among others, by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
