26 Companies unite for Inclusive Employment in Morocco

The Inclusive Employment Forum promotes jobs for professionals with disabilities in Morocco.

With support from Invest for Jobs, the first edition of the Inclusive Employment Forum took place on 12 May 2026 in Salé, bringing together companies, institutions and partners committed to provide concrete job opportunities for professionals with disabilities in Morocco.

The first edition of the Inclusive Employment Forum took place on 12 May 2026 at the Bouregreg Convention Centre in Salé, Morocco. Organised by Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion Morocco, with the support of Invest for Jobs, the event brought together companies, public institutions, associations and employment partners for a shared objective: promoting more inclusive and equitable access to employment for professionals with disabilities in Morocco.

The forum was attended by Mr Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr Abdeljabbar Er-Rachidi, Secretary of State for Social Inclusion, H.E. Robert Dölger, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Rabat, as well as representatives from Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion Morocco, public institutions, associations and committed private sector partners.

A total of 26 companies took part in the event, offering employment, internship and support opportunities to participants. Throughout the day, attendees engaged in recruitment interviews, coaching sessions and workshops dedicated to inclusive recruitment, allowing candidates to showcase their skills and explore new professional opportunities.

The forum also marked an important milestone through the signing of two major commitments. A tripartite agreement was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Secretariat of State for Social Inclusion and Handicap International, to strengthen the professional integration of people with disabilities. In addition, seven companies signed the “SAWA Impact” charter, committing to promote equal opportunities, adapt working environments and encourage more inclusive and accessible human resources practices.

Through this first edition, the Inclusive Employment Forum created a concrete space for dialogue, networking and opportunity, while reaffirming the importance of collective action in building a more inclusive and sustainable labour market in Morocco.

This event is supported by Invest for Jobs – the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented, among others, by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
