Comfort Bugri: Trainings for a shea collector in Ghana
Comfort Bugri always knew that her community is rich in shea nuts, but she didn’t know how to utilise the potential. A project implemented by the Global Shea Alliance and private sector partners now offers her new hope. The project trained her and other women on topics of quality shea processing and governance of her cooperative. Through the project her cooperative was matched with companies that are now buying the processed shea nuts. Read more.

For a long time, cashew farmer Nyin Akua struggled with a very low wage that made it difficult for her to earn a sufficient income for herself and her children. Until a project implemented by So-B-Green Limited provided her and others within her community with a training on sustainable farming. Training opportunities in the IT sector were often in short supply in Ghana. When Jeffrey Larbi-Akor discovered his passion for data science, he felt he was on his own at first. Benjamin Kofi : Organic farmers expand their businesses
Benjamin Kofi is owner of a vegetable farm and struggled with post-harvest losses for a long time. After being introduced to organic farming, he and other farmers sharing his challenges founded a cooperative and started producing organically. With their new produce they were able to access a bigger market with sufficient demand to start producing all year round without post-harvest losses. Read more.
