12.03.2021 - 352 rice farmers, including 44 per cent females and 34 per cent youth, have been trained in good farming practices pertaining to field crop production and soil management. Bamboo Bed Production for Health Facilities Promotes Job Creation

14.01.2021 - The Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" Creation supports the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry during the Corona pandemic in facilitating the manufacturing of 20.000 camp beds made from locally produced bamboo and quality cotton from Senegal. The first cotton delivery arrived in Ethiopia on Januar 12th 2021. The beds will be distributed to rural health stations to help address the expected surge of patients in these locations. Read more

The Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" – the official title – offers comprehensive advice, contacts and financial support to overcome investment barriers. The development objective is to work together with companies to create good jobs and to improve working conditions and social protection in its African partner countries.
