develoPPP supports entrepreneurial projects that contribute to better living conditions in emerging markets 

With the develoPPP funding programme, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) supports entrepreneurial projects that make a sustainable contribution to improving working and living conditions in emerging markets. The current ideas competition is aimed at medium-sized and large companies that want to sustainably expand their business activities in an emerging market. Suitable projects related to this entrepreneurial activity and simultaneously contributing to development policy can receive technical and financial support ranging between 100,000 to two million euros.

Do you plan to sustainably optimise your supply chain and thereby improve local working conditions? Does your company create good jobs and contribute to the training of women in local businesses? Implement your project together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in the partner countries of the Special Initiative (Egypt, Ethiopia, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal and Tunisia) and benefit from decades of experience and expertise in the field of training and vocational education as well as an extensive network in political, business and civil society sectors. Apply for funding until 31 March 2025!

Under the Invest for Jobs brand, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has put together a package of measures to support German, European and African companies in investment activities that have a high impact on employment in Africa. The Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" – the official title – offers comprehensive advice, contacts and financial support to overcome investment barriers. The development objective is to work together with companies to create up to 100,000 good jobs and to improve working conditions and social protection in its African partner countries.
