Improved Access to Finance for Ghanaian SMEs

Are you interested in developing your businesses’ financial skills through an innovative and interactive learning experience to boost your business? Do you want to access innovative, demand-oriented financial services and grow your business? If you answered yes, this training programme is for you.

Invest for Jobs is supporting the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation to implement a new training programme to help growth-oriented Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ (SME) in Ghana improve their access to innovative and need-based financial services.

The project aims to improve SMEs’ access to innovative and demand-oriented financial services through a combined approach of Business Games, training and business coaching modes. The trainings will  impart skill-sets that managers need in the current business environment. This will not only improve their interaction with Financial Service Providers (FSPs) but also increase their bankability or profitability.

The content of trainings will differ between SMEs and be adapted according to their concrete needs. Qualified to participate in the trainings are established and registered SMEs with the potential to grow and create jobs that have been in operation for at least a year.  

Criteria for eligibility:
You own/manage a growth-oriented company with 10 to 250 employees;

  • Your business is located within the Greater Accra or Ashanti Region of Ghana
  • Your business is registered;
  • You can present your Financial Statements for at least two years.
  • You are ambitious and passionate about growing your business.
